Sometimes the Angels were put in situations which gave them their very own shot at fame. Kelly, posing as an extra while working on a case, appeared as a waitress in Gloria Gibson's comeback film ‘The Heart of New York’ ("I Will Be Remembered"). Julie had been a supermodel before joining the Angels. One magazine cover she appeared on had a headline which announced "The New Best Thing" ("Angel in Hiding"). Of all the Angels it was Kris who craved the spotlight the most. She had received great reviews for her work in summer stock and college theater, but one of her stage roles would land her in the hot new movie ‘Sweet Misery’ with stage veterans Frank and Ellen Jason. Playing the sexy Jennie, Kris got to sing “If Only We’d Been Together Then” while dancing in the lavish musical production ("Angels in the Wings"). As stuntwomen, Kelly, Kris, and Julie all appeared in the film ‘Marion & Her Merry Maids’. Kris and Julie were also stunt doubles in ‘Lady West’. When Kelly posed as a nightclub singer in “Lady Killer” she lip synched to a tape, but in “Chorus Line Angels” she sings and dances up a storm as part of an auditioning theater company.

Throughout the five year run of CHARLIE'S ANGELS, dozens of celebrities would appear in guest starring roles. Some were Hollywood royalty and others were new faces who were destined for fame. Out of all the stars who turned up on the show, only two played themselves; Don Ho ("Angels in Paradise") and Sammy Davis, Jr. ("The Sammy Davis Jr. Kidnap Caper").
