The TV shows of the 1970s were shameless in their depiction of stereotypes and CHARLIE’S
ANGELS was no exception. Although minorities were rarely seen on the show, when
they were, they weren't usually painted in the best light. And if their race
or sexual orientation was ever an issue, the Angels usually were sometimes the most un-PC of all. The following includes a list of both slight and very politically incorrect moments from Charlie's Angels.
"Angels
in Chains" - any depiction of a female prison wouldn't be complete without the token lesbian. And of course she has to be an evil bull dyke like Maxine who can't take her eyes off of Jill.
"The Killing
Kind" -Jill and Kelly laugh about Kelly's new "relationship" with ultra-masculine masseuse, Inga.
"Angels
on Ice" -When Kelly meets Jo Jo, a flashy soul man on a motorcycle, she shamelessly begins speaking "jive" like nobody's
business!
"Angel
Flight" - Stewardess in training, Mai Ling, is the victim of a rude comment by one of her teachers, in reference to
her nationality.
